Im surprised there is not yet any mention of this :?: ... Great Outdoor Provisions Center with the Hobie Island Club has invited all AIs & TIs as well as any other Hobie with sail kit to a meet at Jordan Lake near Raleigh NC for this Saturday Sept 27th at 9am.

Most of the promotion has been done on the Island Club Facebook page. I would assume that GOP has done some in-store promotion as well.

I will be there with another sailor and we'll be in my TI. I'm going to check with GOP and see if they're bringing out any AIs or TIs (I know they generally don't stock them) for folks that might want to come out and just try one.

Weather should be spectacular and there is little powerboat traffic on Jordan this time of year so we should have a great time.

My TI will be there. I think you'll enjoy some of the things I've done to it.

The weather for tomorrow has been most kind. We are expecting a low tonight of about 60F, rising to a high tomorrow of about 75F. Water temp should be in the mid to high 70's currently.

Wind prediction is for 9 to 14 MPH, which should be ideal. Not exactly white knuckle, but more than enough for "brisk" motivation under sail.

It's going to be a great time.
