Post subject:  Any AI sailors on Lake Tahoe?
Are there any AI sailors on Lake Tahoe? My husband and I move there in 2 weeks and we each have an AI. Would love to link up with other AI sailors out there on Lake Tahoe!

I only have a sailing rigged Oasis and live about an hour and a half away. I keep meaning to go sailing up there but haven't yet.

Pretty snowy up there right now so maybe all the AI owners are hibernating. :lol:

It's nice to see a post from a fellow female sailor on here!

Nope, not in Tahoe, in the bay area but we hope to get up there soon to play around on the lake on the TI and van camp for a few days.
With this super mild winter when are you two going to get out there?

I was out yesterday in the Northbay with what would be a bit like Tahoe island sailing. Water temps round 53f. We had a wind advisory so I went out :twisted: singlehanding the TI. Man am I beat up today. Had to pedal sail a ton upwind in a super narrow, shallow area to get back. When I got home I checked recorded wind data and it was blowing 17kts with gusts to 25kts. But it was in the 70's so got to sail barefoot in just shorts, t and my racing vest. Pretty sweet for February!

Tahoe sounds like an awesome place for an Island since as you know it really blows there in the summer but with a furled main and stability of a 10' beam it should be the perfect daysailer.

Find any fellow Island peeps to sail with yet?
