| We purchased a Hobie Kayak with Mirage drive. We purchased a 2nd last month. The Mirage drive that came with our 1st purchase works fine. But the second Mirage drive does not easily lock in place. I measured the two metal shaft dimensions. For the unit that inserts easily, I measured 16.8mm beyond the plastic on both sides On the troublesome unit, I measured 16.8mm on one side & 17.8mm on the other. I wouldn’t think that 1mm would be enough, but it appears to be. Suggestions? Thank you, -Robert | |

| Try tapping the longer end of the shaft with a hammer to even them out, see if that helps. | |
