Post subject: | Help me find a leak |
Hello everyone, this pasted weekend I was driving back to the city in the middle of a thunderstorm and when I got home and unload my hobie outback I noticed there was water inside, a lot of water. I am not sure how it got in there but now I am afraid I have a leak in my yak. What would be the most effective way to find the leak? Thank you Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk |

You could do a low pressure test with a bottle of soapy water to check for any cracks/leaks. I would focus around the mirage drives, scupper holes, and hatches. There are quite a few posts on the forum that talk about doing this test. |

My guess is that it came in the round hatch openings. Keith |

I have left mine outside not under cover for the last 2 weeks and it has rained a lot Andy there was quite a bit of water inside the hull but. I never get a lot on the water while fishing. I know that the fittings around the bungies for the front hatch allow quite a bit of water to come in. |

Review this thread: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=55102 Check the large forward hatch seal to the hull flange. |
