Post subject: | TI aka pin came loose |
TI owners for about a month On our trip Sunday my wife (back seat driver!) noticed the rear right aka pin was about an inch out of the joint. The pin was under strain on the water and could not be adjusted. When we packed up the boat on the trailer the pin slotted back into place. What is holding the pin(s) in there? Should we be concerned these may fall out of the joint while we're driving and the boat is on the trailer ? From the 2 diagrams of parts I'm assuming this pin is part # 88991021 http://cdn.hobiecat.com/digital_assets/ ... atalog.pdf (page 52) http://static.hobiecat.com/digital_asse ... ts2016.pdf Thanks for your input Greg S North Dallas |

There is a set screw holding the pin in place. With the akas folded you can see a small square cap at the joint. Pull the cap out. The screw may need a bit of blue loc tite to hold it in. Contact your dealer for help on that if needed. |

Thank you Matt, the screw is missing. That explains it! |
