Post subject:  steering limiter problem revo ... with Quick fix

The steering mechanism on the inside of the hull has a plastic angle, screwed through hull which appears to act as a stopper/limiter to prevent metal control lever being pulled too far to the left. This bracket deflects creating a resistance as handle is turned left. A couple of times on mine the handle has gone far enough left (well past 90 degrees) accidentally when caught by anchor rope for example, that it has slipped past this plastic angle/stopper. Once past it is near impossible to reset without unscrewing angle bracket. Obviously impossible on water. Result is rudder is stuck on full left.

Is this an alignment problem and can an adjustment be made to prevent this, or is this plastic bracket even essential, and can it be removed altogether if it is causing a problem?

Obviously having a stuck rudder on the water is a safety issue.

Not sure if this is same set up on all models
(EDIT: seems to be on revos fitted with vantage seat, and not earlier or different models)

Fixed SS Hoseclip attached to handle acts as a stopper to prevent over rotation of handle
