Post subject: | V-frame (mast) - adjusting each side length? |
Hi Just doing a winter check on my 2016 adventure island (about 4 months old) and noticed 3 of the 4 "lock" nuts were very loose. Two things... 1). Measuring the lengths of both arms there seems to be a difference of at least 1/2 centimetre between them. Plus on one side the bottom v-frame arm it is not pararallel to the very long adjustable hex nut "thing". So what would be the acceptable tolerances of both of these? i.e. Is this quite normal? 2). What is the correct procedure(?) or measurements(?) when adjusting this if all of this is taken apart? many thanks in advance -pHREDD p.s. Should I apply loctite to these 4 "lock" nuts? |

Expand the frame to seat the base on the hull bottom without distorting the hull (expanding the dimension passed snug contact). |

Expand the frame to seat the base on the hull bottom without distorting the hull (expanding the dimension passed snug contact). Variances in hull shape are common. |
