Aloha, Happened today in Kaneohe Bay Hawaii. Had to pedal back about three miles. Legs tired. Anyway. What will it cost me to replace? Anyone know? Thanks |

Can you post pics of the break? Did it occur where the downhaul cleat rivet on the sail contacts the mast surface? |

I'd have to look closer, but it seemed to be right below the bottom of the sail. |

Blue Blazer, That's exactly what my mast looked like! I need to find a safer hobby, or should I say Hobie. Sure, I could shell out a grand for a new mast, but will it have the same design flaw? Thankfully, I wasn't out of the bay. |
