I know its a big score trading an old beat Hobie Cat 16 for a 2007 AI but...a few issues, of course. starting w a missing forward AKA! how the heck do I find a new one. cant see any listings at ACK or West coast guys. this rig "looks" ok but what are my first maintenance or inspection areas to check. what's the SOP for newbies with oldies? and i need a seat. thanks! bill |

You could begin to scour the list of dealers working out from your region to see if they've got one laying around. You could go to a local fabricator which may or not mitigate the great deal you got, lol. You could test your resourcefulness and build a replacement. Missing the crappy seat is no loss. Three are a ton of tutorials on fitting much more comfortable ones into your Adventure. Your butt will thank you. |

I'll find an aka or make one for sure. I wont let it stop me from getting this in the water in the next couple weeks. Thanks for the advice on seats. I need a good one for my creaky old back. I'll be there's a thread here somewhere on that very subject! |
