I launched my TI fully rigged with AKA attached and folded in. Launched fine, but came back at low tide and the shore was really full of pot holes and boulders. It took max effort to pull up and out of all the holes in the shore line. The cart was fully seated on the cradle and fully extended through the scupper holes and locked in place via the pin and bungee cord.
I used the hobie cart with large tires, 2x30, and I used the support cradle, https://www.strictlysailinc.com/product/cradle-plug-cart-tandem-island/

I looked the next day and saw this in my scupper hole. Looks like a crack. However, I tried to poke a zip tie through the crack, but it wouldn't pass through. I recall reading that the holes are not always aligned from the factory and maybe the seam is just mismatched and not damaged/cracked.

I need to test this thought. Perhaps put duct take across the hole on the bottom of the kayak and then fill the scupper hole with water above the crack and see if it leaks into the kayak. I live 1.4 hours from the lake one way and 12hr shifts, so testing at home is best.

Can you tell if it is broken? I see there are welding kits for $70 from Hobie sold on amazon.

That gap between the hull lip and the insert is nothing - it's just not flush - is your kayak leaking from the scupper? Your note doesn't say anything about a leak - that would be the first thing to disclose...

When I posted this thread, I didn't know if it leaked. I didn't notice the gap till I pull the TI out of the water and it was sitting on my trailer. So, in my opinion, it could have cracked towing it on the cart getting back to my trailer across all the rocks and pot holes. It may have not been broken/cracked taking to the ocean (no leaks), but broke on the return to the trailer and hence, the kayak was dry inside.

However, today, I put a scupper plug in the scupper hole from under the kayak and then poured water into the scupper hole from the top to a level above the crack. No water leaked out and the water filled scupper hole did not drain or level go down, and inside the kayak, was dry. SO...... it must be a molding seam and nothing is wrong.
Crisis averted.
