2013 TI, suddenly stopped unfurling mast at the midway point. Can furl perfectly and smoothly. Took the sail off and duct-taped the two mast halves together (per forum suggestion for somewhat similar issue), but no change. All ropes have been re-rigged and are clean of tangles. I’m flummoxed. |

Hello, Do you still have the problem? I had a similar problem on my 2016 TI, where the base of the mast ( the furling drum ), was barely resting on the mast support ring. It would rotate easily furled, but under a load, with the mast bending, the bottom of the mast drum contacted the top of the support ring ( that houses the ball bearings ), so it became difficult to furl or unfurl under load. I found the mast base support in the hull to be out of adjustment. A couple of turns, and the clearance between the drum and mast support increased, fixing the problem. |

Turns out the mast had been damaged and altered. It wasn’t rotating properly and would hang. Tried a couple ways to rectify, but ordering a new mast ![]() |
