Hey all .. my up/down bungee tensioner is just flopping aroud under the seat hatch - where does it attach to to provide the tension to keep the up / down pulls taught ?

Thanks !! hoping to go out as soon as its fixed for the first sail of the season and social distance myself under sail ;)

It's suppose to attach further back on the same up or down line, usually with a hog cinch ring (crimped wire). I usually just form a slip loop to reattach but I usually replace the bungee line if it's lost most of it's stretch.

Mahalo My friend !! Thanks for the answer .. thats what I kind of figured so I tied a piece of rope to the end of the bungee and ran it to the knot further toward the stern - worked like a charm.

Hope you and your Wife are weathering this "new normal" well .. our get-together snd sail a few years ago still tops my Hobie Adventure List.

.. If you ever do find yourself in the NYC area please don't forget to give me a call. I would love to repay your hospitality
