2015+ Tandem Island steering crank?

Post subject:  2015+ Tandem Island steering crank?
Islanders,

I need to replace the aft steering crank on my new model TI (I snapped the steering handle retaining screw off in it....the same issue from the post here: https://www.hobie.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=64876).

Does anyone know where to find the correct crank online? Even though it's listed in the parts catalog as the 2015+ AI steering crank, I [think] the correct part number is 88991402 - but I can't find one anywhere - to include the official Hobie parts store. That part number doesn't even come up.

I originally ordered an 88991281 crank since it's listed as AI 2011+/TI (the one on the right below) but it's about three inches shorter than the original one I pulled out of the boat

I also tried installing one from a Pro Angler...but it's too long...can't thread it through the support holes it has to pass through before exiting the top of the hull.

Did you try Austin Kayak? They usually have most TI parts. Call them if you don't see it listed.

Sure did....that's generally the first place I go for parts (I originally purchased the boat from them as well.) It's not listed on the site, but I plan on calling them Monday.

Thanks Matt! I guess 88991282 is what I’m looking for.

Still no luck finding it for sale online, but will make some calls and see if any of the distributors can track one down.
