New owner of a 2015 Tandem Island trying to resolve some furling issues with the sail. Can anyone tell me if the mast cap is supposed to be loose & rotate? When I pulled out the cap I noticed some glue type residue inside, so I' m not sure if the cap should rotate with the sail or if I should be gluing it back? |

I would think not. The mast could then just spin when you try to furl... only held at the base by the downhaul. |

Thanks Matt, that would explain the twisting of the sail at the top when furling. I'll re-glue the cap & hopefully that should resolve the issue. |
