Post subject:  Missing half my tandem island and broken pad eye
I have been reading nearly every post on this board as I patiently waited for my TI to arrive, lots a great modifications, advice and other information, much appreciated.

My tandem island arrived today from Austin Kayak and to my dismay I am missing nearly everything but the hull. No akas/amas, no mirage drives, no seats, no mast, no sail, etc. It seems there is supposed to be a second box that was lost in transit and Austin Kayak asked me what I am missing? Does anybody know if all that stuff comes in a single additional box when shipped from Hobie or if there are multiple boxes as if so can someone help me determine what is all supposed to be in them?

In additional to the missing items it seems there was some transit damage. One of the plastic pad eyes that the main sheet is routed through was broken on arrival. I am not to worried about fixing this but what I am uncertain about is if both lines originally ran through it or just one of the lines (I would guess just the forward line), if someone would not mind taking a look at their boat and letting me know I would appreciate it?

Yes, there is a second box and that should have been on the Bill of Lading when they shipped it to you... assuming their warehouse shipped it complete.

Hopefully, you have contacted ACK?

Thank you for the reply. Yes I am defiantly in contact with ACK. The bill of lading showed 1 box at 300+ lbs so apparently the additional box was taped or strapped to the kayak hull at some point in the trip. ACK trying track down the missing parts with the shipping company, but had asked me what I am missing so they can replace everything of the box is not found. I received the hull, battens, rudder and steering handles, here is what I know I am missing, is there anything else that is in the second box that I am unaware of?

    2 seats
    2 paddles
    mast
    sail & bag
    both amas
    aka bars and bags
    both mirage drives (do they come with bags?)
    Owners manual (I assume this was in the missing box)

Drives do not come with Bags.

Lines? Not sure, but ACK can work that out.
