I just purchased a 2019 Tandem Island with very little use and after not being able to get the Vantage CT seats to lock in place in both sides I realized that the tabs (keys) where the seat locks are reversed in one side. The tab (key) is facing the rear so the seat can't lock. The rear set bar has on key reversed and the front set bar also has one key reversed. It is not really a warranty issue, it just came from factory incorrectly assembled. The previous owner did not realized that and never addressed the problem. I have written to Hobie and also a local Hobie dealer but not sure what they will do about this. I wonder is any one knows how the cross bars (where the vantage seat locks) is easy to remove so and change the positions of the keys so they are all facing forward as they are suppose to be? Or is there are any assembly instructions that I can refer to. Thanks |
