Hello, I own a pre-2015 Tandem Islands, and this past weekend on Jordan lake in NC, the mast bearing plate weld to the crossbar catastrophically failed !!! It was a gusty day. As a result, the mast leaned quite a bit and we had to furl in the sail and get back to shore with only pedal drives. Thankfully the mast did not drop onto our young kids in tamps... but was a bit of a scare for sure. Can I replace the forward crossbar / mast bearing plate on my pre-2015 TI with a current version crossbar?
