So I decided on a permanent solution .... as I really don't think the PA is suitable for safe one person operation on a roof rack.

Recommendation, get a hold of some cradles and mount them on your trailer so that you don't damage the bottom of the PA hull... PS: nice rig!!! |

They extend the halfway up the length of the hull either side of the keel and at the front there is another set plus a rubber roller. Its a real boat trailer designed especially to support the PA Hull.
