Is hobie going to make a live well for the pro anger because the other leaves to much space on each side.

No plan to build a larger one.

Not looking for a bigger one but one that is molded to the pro just like the one molded to the others.

Since it does fit the Pro Angler, we don't "need" to change it and since the molds are not cheap... and additional SKUs would be required... not in the plan.

this is my answer to the Hobie livewell.....

i tested this unit for 12 hours on a single charge 6volt 4.5 aHr battery.....

the reason i made this livewell is because Hobie or the paddleshop couldnt seem to come through to make the $250 setup work.....apparently there are alot of problems with the bait tank that arent being discussed here.....a few of the problems with mine were this....first off the battery was bad, then it was the charger, and then when i finally went out and purchased a battery of my own, the thing leaked water from the mold lines faster than the drain.....so i took it back and got my money back and built this one in one day!!!

Not being discussed because I suspect that is far from the norm. Sorry for the hassle it caused you.

so the battery issue isnt being discussed??? because i got a completely different story......and also something has to have been discussed because from what i hear the whole livewell is being redesigned......hmmmmmmm

No redesign required. Where is that story from? We hope to update it next year, but from our experience over the past few years, it works well. There have been some charger issues where the lites do not blink or hold as described in the instructions, but that is it.

Mr. Miller, i purchased the Hobie livewell for one reason....because it was [email protected] i got it home i had a different view of it because apparently i got a dud.....the battery, the charger, and no relief until the middle of june or so.....so i took it upon myself to go out and buy another battery on top of the $280 that i had already spent on something that should have baited my hook for me as well as hold bait.....so i made a wiring harness with the similar weatherpack connectors used and plugged her in.....filled it with water only to find that the bait tank had an added bonus!!!! an extra draining system that i really didnt care for.....the crack was completely across the front where the nold lines come together.....i immediately boxed the unit back up and took it back to the store and stopped along the way to purchase everything that i needed to build my own BAD@SS bait tank

GoneYakcrazy in your pics I see a full sized anchor light, I was wondering how you have it rigged. I have 4' Perko LED and would like to use it with my flag. Thanks

Sounds like freight damage. In any case... what you have created looks pretty darn cool!

Mine is working fine thus far. There is some advantage in having a little extra room on the sides. More room to store "stuff."

The bait tank works better in the PA than in the other Hobies, in my opinion, simply because you can actually turn around and look in the tank while you're scooping out the bait. This isn't nearly as practical in the Outback or Revo.
