![]() I have for years on my Outback and was wondering if it works for the PA. Probably no reason it shouldn't. OBTW: Just sold my boat so I will soon be joining the PA owners club ![]() ![]() --- |

I use a suction cup mount on my PA and it has worked well. I posted some pictures in this thread http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=33613. TDK |

I stick mine in a Tupperware full of water in hull, works great & don't have to worry bout knocking off when beaching or launching |

So Jude - If you have your transducer in a tupperware of water, what is between the outside of the tupperware and the inside of the hull? Is it gooped in place? Can't argue with your good results, but it seem like you would have lots of acoustic interfaces to complicate things that way. |

I don't see why the suction wouldn't work, but something permanant may be better so you don't have to worry about it, but thats what is nice about kayaks. You can set it up any way you want!! |

The inside of the pa hull is concave down the center so I use a cheap disposable like ziplock Tupperware that fits in the tunnel then run a peice of paper tape across the lid to each side where it rises up. No interference & accurate water temps & no goop. I also cut the slots out the back hatch container in the cargo area and store my battery in there all sealed up drill hole in side of container with foam to keep it stable ( someone else did that on here & posted pics recently)then ruNning the cables Inside the hull up through the strap slot on the front lid to my humminbird |
