Stopped by my dealer and picked up the H-Bar today. Will be a few weeks until I get it installed... Eager to install it and try it. More later. Bob |

You'll love it! Keep us posted on how you like it once you get a chance to find your way back on the water. |

Sweet! I ordered one for my PA too. I won't get to pick up my boat and H Bar until April or May,.... so the waiting is tough. Wonder if i will have to mount it on there myself. No worries, can't be hard. |

I installed my H-Bar this morning. It's a piece of cake. If you go to YouTube and search for Hobie H-Bar Install, there's a nice video showing a guy doing it. |

Thinking about getting one this spring, would really be interested in your feedback. Does it feel natural standing with it, do wakes or waves create center of gravity issues? And for those who have had them for a while, do you use it most of the time, all of the time or just in certain circumstance. The immediate benefit I could see is lowering my chubby self into the seat, feel like I come down on the seat to hard sometimes. Thank you. |

I saw the video for the installation just today! Thanks for the heads up though. I like that it is adjustable for height, as both hubby and I are very tall. For us it will be great for getting in and out of the boat at the dock. And I am a beginner fly fisher-woman, so will likely use it for that too. |

I use mine to help me get into and out of the kayak also. Sure helps especially when "mother nature" calls! ![]() Was very easy to install, I did it within 1/2 hour. I did use the bolts instead of the push pins on the support as I do not intend to remove it from the kayak. I did use tie wraps to keep the two pins with the bar in case (for some reason) I need an emergency push pin...maybe for the pedals?! I do use the front two push pins to be able to fold the bar when not in use. Love it. |

If you are reasonable stable I really don't see a need for the H-bar! I've been using my PA in fairly rough water here in Colo for several months without any problem. If you have problems standing and sitting down in a tight area it may help but if you are fairly flexible the H-bar may not be worth the expense. Obviously everyone is different but I would imagine the H-bar could get in the way at times when fighting fish? Every time you want to sit down and fish you may need to put it down so it's not in the way? Anyway, I'm super glad I saved my cash and didn't buy one! |

If you have ordered the H Bar, you might want to consider getting a standup paddle. I have one for my FH12, and it will be probably my only paddle on my new Freedom Hawk Pathfinder with the BassYaks electric motor. Use your Mirage to get to where you want to fish and then use the standup paddle to get around the fishing areas or to push your yak off and away from docks/rocks what ever. I have used it with the FH 12 in fairly deep water and fairly shallow water when I use it like a pole. Below is the link to Freedom Hawks Accessory page. I have their Standup Paddle. It is two piece to transport it, and it is adjustable. The price is a reasonable $119 plus shipping. http://www.freedomhawkkayaks.com/freedo ... sories.php arcticmermaid wrote: Sweet!
