When I bought it, I didn't have a PA nor did I have plans to get one. Oh well...minds change. gulp gulp goes the kool-aid. I can still fit 2 yaks and a PA so I guess that will work. It took me a while to get the saddles right but I think this is gonna work out.

Boondoggle!?!

I ordered the Malone Microsport XT.
My plan is to ...
A. get a hitch installed on my car
B. build the trailer
C. order the PA

I also have 2 other kayaks...an original "Mirage" and an Outback which I plan on hauling (at times) on J mounts like your picture.
Do you have anymore pics that are larger? That one came out pretty small.

Curious...how did you mount the PA?
I plan on using this 4" drain pipe method with indoor/outdoor carpet glued on the pipes.

this is pretty much my plan although I keep looking for a jet ski trailer or similar to save money on that.

I called Malone and they recomended the Saddle Up Pros.

I made that other image larger also. Here are some of the Saddle Up Pros in action. I use just for transporting as I do no think it will be a good idea to leave them strapped up like this for it might bend the hull.

I actually use the cross bars to support the saddle up pros so they can't move around and have them more on the side like a book end.

It is working fine right now.

The Malone specs say for 80-90 lb. kayaks. Concerned?

You may want to put some foam blocks under the hull on each load bar between the saddles in case the saddles fail. I use 6 Mako saddles under my PA and two of the saddles have collapsed.
