I am getting the papaya colour. From the safety point of view it stands out better that the dune or olive. I am on a huge lake with countless bays and inlets and hardly and boat traffic. So our boaters are not used to looking for something so small. I think I will devise a flag for it too.

Enjoy your boat!

I chose olive because it will be easy to camouflage should I decide to use it for duck hunting in the fall.

P.A.'s;
I have owned Papaya for the daylight visibility, Olive ( because I got a great deal on it) but now paddle Ivory Dune with a very nice set of LED fishing lights on the interior of the hull. It makes it glow and look like a giant Christmas ornament at night. The striper guides on Lake Texoma refer to kayaks as "speed bumps". That got me nervous as I am starting to run jugs at night and catfish regularly at night. Haven't had any close calls but have had several slow down and come over to see what the heck I was.
I am about to buy another PA and will get Dune again for the night time visibility and is easiest to deal (post process) with when shooting videos.

Tight lines, Phill

my 09 PA is olive, mainly because when I bought it olive was the only color anyone had in stock, they were not easy to find when the PA first came out. One thing I do like about the olive color is that it does not show the dirt and fish blood like the other Hobie colors. The disadvantage to the olive color is that is does not stand out like the other colors so I run a flag and or I rarely go on waters where there are power boaters.
