Greetings all, I recently bought a PA which I take possession of in April (stupid winter ![]() I plan on mounting my Humminbird 385ci to the right handle using the Scotty 245 rail mount paired with the Humminbird mount 274. ![]() ![]() As for the rod holders....this is where I need a little assistance. Have any of you mounted the Scotty 244 flush mount in the side mounting boards of the PA? I'm concerned that as these are 2" in depth, they could affect the horizontal rod storage. ![]() If they do pose a problem, I'll use the standard 241 top mounts. ![]() Cheers |

I used four of the clamp on Scotty rod holders, two are for rod holders, one is for a Humminbird FF mounted on a Mad Frog Liberator mount with a transducer arm that is in turn mounted to the Scotty FF mount. The extra rod holder I just use it to put my 6" hemostat in for a hook remover. My reasoning for rigging my PA this way is so that everything is very reachable and its easy to see and read the FF along with nothing is in the way so it is easy to get in and out of the PA, My main reason for rigging this way is that I did not drill a single hole anywhere. |

Thanks for the info. I too would like to avoid drilling holes anywhere other than in the two mounting boards. Those can be replaced easily. |

They work great and don't get in the way of my tie down straps. I like the look of the rail mount for the fishfinder. I'll be interested ot hear if it mounts properly on the PA rail as I understand it isn't a typical size. |

Great to hear! I plan on using the same mount for my flag off the back tow bar. I'll post pics when it's done albeit won't be for a least another month and a half. |

one thing you will need to do is use a thin spacer for the rail and rod mount. I found that 1/8" thick rubber works fine. |
