I was curious if you can tell what year a PA was made? I ask cause I was watching a video on YouTube that showed the 2012 have a deeper storage container in the back than the older models and the lid is yellow instead. Mine didn't have that and I bought it thinking it was 2012. |

Find the registration number on the yak. The year model in in the number. Last two or four numbers. |

Ok I found the number ending in 12. Should I have received a deeper container than the regular one. I was watching a video that said the 12's come with a deeper container with a yellow top. Is that for certain Kayaks? |

Redsman, Are you referring to the round container that's in the rear storage compartment? If so, it will not work on the PA. I purchased that deeper round container today to use and realized after I got it home that the container would not work as the rear hull comes up a little to far, so it will not sit all the way in. Luckily it works like a champ on the wife's Revo 11. If you talking about the one in front of the seat that holds the Plano boxes, mine was the same as yours. |

I was talking about the one in the back. I thought the 12's come with the deeper container,but if it doesn't fit it must be for another type of Hobie. |

I bought the deeper container and it did not sit all the way down in my 2012 PA because of the way the hull slopes upward in the rear. I don't think there's a middle size. It fit the Revolution Kayak's storage hatch in front of the seat. So it work's on some and not others. |
