Easy!!! Just take 1 Native Watercraft 1st Class Seat and with a little ingenuity you can successfully mount it in your Pro Angler and no longer have the annoying lap top of a seat destroying your back,

This is the best mod I have made to this kayak and I'm kicking myself that it took 2 years to do it.

That's very timely. I've been searching for a new seat for my hobie Adventure and was looking into the Native Watercraft seat. I briefly had an Ultimate 16 and remembered how comfortable the seats are, plus I liked the removable feature that allowed the seat to be around camp. I contact NW today and they replied that they do not sell seats to be used in other boats. So I called a local dealer who is searching with their "buyer" to see if they can track down a "replacement" seat for me.
Curious, how much did you pay for your seat.

That seat featured in the video is available as an option for the Native Versaboard, so it is possible to buy one sans the boat. Cost is about $300.

I agree, the stock seat has treated me well. I did add the inflatable lumbar support (listed as part number 84500011 in the Fall 2011 catalog for $26.99, but not pictured) and have been perfectly happy.

I also riveted pad eyes on the back of the seat and made a bungee net to hold jackets and stuff high and dry.

Interesting. Before I bought my PA, I went fishing with a guide who used Natives. He was showing me how he hung his legs over the sides and moved around to deal with the discomfort of the seat, and I found that he was right after a couple of hours. I've found the PA seat much more comfortable.

Look under the seat, there are bosses molded into the frame which will allow a "lazy Susan" to be bolted in to allow you to spin the seat.

@ wish4fish: Was he using Native models that had the First Class seating (Magic, Ultimate, or Mariner) or was he using the Manta Rays which just have a butt pad and back rest? After owning both a Native Magic and a Native Ultimate, and being a big guy, I can't imagine anybody complaining about the First Class seating being uncomfortable. I literally had nights when I went fishing dock lights and I sat down in the kayak at dusk and didn't get out of it until the horizon was getting light and was never uncomfortable. Legs never went to sleep, butt never got tired or went to sleep.

My PA is on layaway still, so I can't say I've had a lot of time in the seat of a PA, but just looking at it, I can't see how it could be more comfortable than the Native. I hope to be proven wrong. I will say, though, that I can't say that I see the Native seat being enough more comfortable to buy one for $300 and install it.

Seat comfort is very subjective. I've had multiple back surgeries and some seats that suit me others find uncomfortable and vice versa. We had this same discussion about motorcycle seats on one of the motorcycle forums. It just really depends on the individual's physical dimensions and conditioning, etc. I personally find the PA seat comfortable. I did raise it slightly and tilt it aft (using longer bolts with spacers in the front of the mount).

The arrogance of some Kayak makers, polite phrase instead of one dealing with terminal thought patterns, amazes me.

I have a similiar if not better seat I bought from Freedom Hawk for $180. Their elite seat works in my Freedom Hawk 12 or Pathfinder. I use a few plastic zip locks to secure it to either yak, and it travels safely on the yaks in the back of my pickup at the speed limit and is secure on the water.

My only problem is on warm sunny days 8) in calm water or at anchor, the seat can be too comfortable for this old geezer.
