Does any one take a fishing partner on the rear deck? Clearly the max payload of 600 lb. must be respected and I am talking about smooth water, no surf or waves. |

My wife sits in the back with a cushioned chair. She just enjoys the sun while I peddle around. It's great time spent with the wife!! |

This is gonna sound strange, but we found a cushioned "speaker" chair like you hook up for sound to play video games. It was at a thrift store. We knew when we saw it what it would be good for!! For a $3 bucks my wife is happy!! When she's happy, I'm happy!! ![]() Now if I can just find her a DUNE PA, because we have to match ![]() |

My son loves the back. He can laydown and stand to stretch. He told me he really liked the PA. He rather be in the PA than the canoe. I am thinking about a kayak seat to ptu back there. Easy to put on and take off. I seen on this forum where another person did the same thing. |

I'm planning on doing the same thing for my son. I was thinking of mounting a chair to a plywood board that has been coated, as not to hurt the plastic of the PA and mount a swivel chair to it. Looking for the time to do it!! |

I have been taking my 5yr old daughter out fishing with me since she was 2 1/2 years old. She loves it!! I have had both her and her younger sister out fishing in it a few times since she was a little over 18mos. Have to be very careful with hooks, but they both LOVE it and usually are begging to go out again as soon as we get home! trying to build a couple of future fishing buddies! |

![]() ![]() ![]() I use a Hobie seat installed behind my main seat AND another seat on the front storage hatch(stadium bench seat) for a child to use. I usually go out with my twin boys age 9 and fish for hours without complaints. My wife fishes as well on that rear seat, it fits an adult quite well. If you can think outside the box there's not much you cannot do on a Hobie. |

Great pictures! Your young fisherman is adorable and looks like he's "hooked" on fishing. |

I've used the same kayak seat setup on the rear deck of my PA. Here's a post I did while back - http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=28804 It's great fun to be out with the kids! |

Here's a pic of the front seat I use when we take out three people. I do this all summer including crabbing, no issues and the kids love it. ![]() |
