Guys, I have the Pa14 and absolutely love it. Unfortunately for my wallet, by no longer being limited tackle wise to what I can carry on my back (bank fishing) my tackle count has grown a bit....or a lot. I have allredy filled the front and the middle part under the cutting board. Are you guys using anything behind the seat on top of where the water tight storage is? Milkcrates or something? |

I think what you are describing is a tackle system...meaning what, where, and how do I store...stuff. Is that right? What works best for me is YouTube. I'll search for, whatever, and incorporate part or all of what I like. Sure some guys use milk crates, others use Plano tackle storage containers, while my buddy only brings one type of bait in the 2" & 3" variety. Searching catalogs, watching others, or dreaming something up unique can ultimately only be decided by you. For me...I would never bring enough tackle to fill a 16 gal front storage compartment and the center tackle organizer. I know the PA is big...but sheesh. Happy Fishin, ![]() Iceflyer |

Sounds like you have plenty onboard already with the hatches full. Remember that you are still kayak fishing, and too much gear can be too much. I only carry the essentials that I need and use regularly. I have a crate type storage in the tank well with rod holders on it. I carry four rods with me and will usually keep in my crate rod holders for quick access. |

I use a seat back "saddle bag" by Creek Co. Outcast makes some nice bags too. Usually use it for non-fishing items - jacket, sunscreen, water, food - sometimes for fishing overflow. These bags are handy because you can load them up the night before then slip them over the seat back whne you put the yak in the water. |
