I like the HD clarity in 1080HD for sure! Mounting position could be elevated and back a little in my opinion. I am using the YakAttack "PanFish" mount. |

Clarity was amazing!! I agree that the camera position could use some work but it wouldn't be a deal breaker. You could get some great footage from there. |

Can you start and stop video remotely with this setup, or do you need to click something on the camera to do that? |

The possibilities for camera mounts is pretty much endless. I've used everything from telescopic painter poles from Home Depot that mount in scupper holes to various PVC fittings attached to telescoping poles mounted in the front, back, or 10' out on the sides. It is also possible to incorperate 2 videos at the same time with 2 separate mounted cameras. I use my telescoping poles for underwater footage. I've spent quite a few hours messing around..figuring out angles, distances, etc for the best footage. Pretty fun stuff! |

Congrats. ![]() Mine struggles with light hitting it from low angles like early morning. I actually exchanged my first one due to it really not handling morning light at all. They were yellow tinted. Thanks and good luck. |

I ordered a polarized filter thingy that I'm going to try on, see if that help with the glare. |

SHRED, Nice vid set up! I had just emailed GoPro about a polarized lens when I saw Dan's post. I'm still awaiting their reply but decided to google "polarized lens for GoPro " and was led to stuntcams.com. They cost $12.00. After reading up on it and looking at sample photos, I'm going to wait to hear from our friend Dan M. to see how he feels about it. Some of the side by side photos show that the glare has been reduced but it seems as though the filtered shots were more blurry. Hey trout man, thanks for the post re: wifi remote for the GoPro! I didn't know it existed. Your post will likely cost me $100.00. Let us know what effect, if any, it has on battery drain. I have both the monitor and battery backpacks and am happy with them so far. Looking forward to some GoPro vids and reviews! Thanks, GR8 Laker. |

Thanks for the link, Dan. These seem to be of much better quality as well as more affordable. I just purchased a 3 pack from the polarprofilters.com site for $19.99. Can't wait to try them out! I'll share my findings when I get out on the water... GR8 Laker |
