What length rods can be stored in the horizontal rod tubes on the pro angler 14? |

You can store almost any length rod if you keep the rear storage area clear. But I believe the ideal length is 8' or less if you don't want the handle to interfere with rear storage. |

I have had a 9' Fly rod in the holder with no problem. Especially with the 2013 design. I use mainly 7'-8' rods and can do it with ease. One of the best kayak rod storage ideas on the market. Regards |

I have some 8-1/2' rods that I keep in the storage tubes. The rod guides will get hung-up going in and coming out, especially on spinning rods. I just started using nylon rod protector sleeves, and these help out immensely. See http://vrxfishing.com/ for an example. |

I have found that with spinning rods if you put a little pressure on the opposide of the guides as you slide them in it makes it much easier. No damage to the guides at all. |
