I have a new from the dealer (purchased in march) pa14,I noticed that when I have taken it out, it takes on quite a bit of water, I have checked the hull and cannot find any holes /cracks. It has been garage kept, and on a custom rack for storage. I have not dropped or hit anything that could have dmged it.

Is this a known issue?

Any ideas what /where to check

Thnx

Check your drain plugs. I would put some water in it seal the plugs, then tip it up and see if any water runs out.

A friend of mine had a PA12 which leaked at the point where the re-enforcments within the rear scuppers end near the top of the scupper holes.

The dealer should be able to help you with this. There is a FAQ on how to locate a leak that can easily be done at home if needed: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=12575

Unfortunately the dealer is located in Georgia, and I am back home in Texas, now that I am out of the Army.

Any Hobie dealer should be able to help you. Especially since you have relocated.

Be sure and check the top of your cockpit..........I started taking on lots of water and couldn't find the leak until I discovered a crack in the top of my cockpit right under the rudder control:
