You've found my favorite saltwater kayak fishing area. Starting there and heading north past Boca Grande to Placida and into Charlotte Harbor and all the islands in-between, they are the most beautiful and bountiful waters to kayak fish. The tarpon, snook, redfish, and trout are everywhere and much of the most pristine and serene areas are inaccessible to the powerboats because of the skinny water. We were just in Captiva three weeks ago and left Placida a week after that. Thanks for the video. It's a beautiful area. |

Nice you guys... Now all I need is the free calendar and gas money for the 2500km one-way road trip!! ![]() Hm, think I'll hang here in the great white (temporarily not) north and pick some pike! Cheers! ![]() |

True...! It really is one of my favorite places to take the kayak to. The whole time I was out there I didn't come close to any other boat in the area. I did visit during the week and left the area on Friday. By the time I left the island was getting busy, so planning ahead is essential for best results. |
