I am going to be getting a Hobie Pro Angler 14 in the near future yay for me!!! I am a big bass fisher and like to compete in tournaments! I was wonder how the Pro Angler does in rainy condition (light And heavy rain)?? Or is the anything I will have to do special to my Pro Angler if it is a rainy day?

Thanks!!

There's nothing you have to do for the PA. It will be fine as long as the hatches are closed. That would keep the water out of the hull. I've been out in light and heavy rain with no issues. Any water that collects just drains out the scuppers!

Just for safe precaution I would take a racketball and stop up the lower two rod tube opening on the bottom row. Water will enter the tubes but might not be a big problem.. But if you store stuff below and want it to stay dry this would help a bunch in blowing wind condtions...
Good Luck

I thought the tubes were sealed?

Mine, on my 2011, are certainly sealed. In fact, when I rinse down I leave the rod tube covers open to be sure to rinse out the tube openings and the only way to get the water out of the rod tube holders is to turn the boat over to drain the tubes out. I've never had water enter the hull through the rod tubes.

Believe he is referring to the bottom two horizontal rod holders. Not sure if they are 100% sealed or not.

I have a 2012 PA-14 and I would suggest removing several of the scupper plugs under the seat for rainy conditions, otherwise water will collect in the seat well.

2013 PA 12's are diffinitely seal. Had a snake crawl off in mine last Saturday. Had to plug it with a long neck and take the whole assembly out to dump him out.
