Hi Forum - would like some input on where forum members have installed mounts/clips for push poles? I appreciate any insight you can provide.

I don't use a "true" stakeout pole (10-15') per se, but a YakAttack 8' Park-n-Pole, which seems to work well when fishing the flats.

I carry the P-n-P on the right side of the PA12, which is also the side that I have the anchor trolley installed on. I used small sections of STS for padding/sound deadening on the gunnels and side-handle base's. The pole is kept in place by the keeper bungee that was meant to secure fishing rods (2) that are stored inside the gunnels, I added a Bungee Button from HOOK1 as the attachment point for the bungee loop.

This is my old PA12...I copied this over to my current SpeedBump Yellow PA12.

I pretty much place my SOP in the same area as LtFireDog, but instead of the small shock cord solution, I decided to use a pair of inexpensive paddle clips. The clips hold the pole very well. Yes you have to drill holes, but those types of screw holes are easy to fill in if necessary down the road. I've included to pictures below. The front clip is mounted on the black mounting board right next to the Scotty mount. The rear clip is mounted topside in the rear. This arrangement still allows me to use the Hobie rod tubes if necessary. This setup is on a PA14, but the PA12 should allow for the same thing if you like this method.

Thanks for starting this post. I just ordered the YakAttack 8' ParknPole and clips. I saw that Hobie had a video of a guy that had the pole clipped to the side of the hull. I have been debating on that idea but not that I see the pole along the rail, that seems like probably a better option. I guess I'll have to play around with options when the gear arrives later this week. Again, thanks for sharing the info.

Check out Beckson Clipper Clips they have 8 sizes 1/4",1/2"',3/4"'1",1-1/4",1-1/2",1-3/4",2"
they work very well, look into them.

Check out these Native paddle holders. I saw them in action and they are pretty darn awesome (but a little pricey). Quiet, secure, and easy to engage. They are on my wishlist.
