Finally bought a PA 14 last Thursday! Could not be happier with my decision to go with the Hobie. Took it to a friends house to install a battery for my fish finder, gear trac, anchor trolley, and a few other accessories. Left work early Friday and hit the beach to try it out. Had a blast just cruising. Loaded up and went to eat. [img]http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/21/4usahu9u.jpg[/IMG]

I was looking on a local fishing forum while eating and saw a post asking if anyone wanted to go hit the lights under a bridge for some reds. Pm'd the guy asking where to meet. By around 9:30, both our PAs were in the water and we headed out. The bay was slick as glass on the way out. Started fishing and found some very hungry bulls in the lights.

I caught 3 bulls and a slot red while he managed 2 bull reds and a trout. I was having a blast, but had to work early so we headed in for the night. Can't wait to catch some more fish this year from my Pro Angler! Just an awesome fishing platform. Thanks for reading and tight lines!

Nice catching!
But, where is your life jacket/vest?
Please don't become one of the "statistics".... :(

It was in the front hatch. The bay was nice and calm that night, just a little cool. I put it on at first, but with my jacket on, the hood wanted to stay up so I put it away. I did wear it last night though.

I agree with the DR. If you have to take your PFD off while fishing, then at least tether it to yourself. From personal experience, you wouldn't believe how fast you can go to hypothermia if you fall over. If the jacket is in the front hatch, you'll have to fight to get it, and then to put it on. Seriously, think safety first.
