I don't post much, but have owned a Hobie since the first Outback in '03 and I really appreciate this forum. Great resource. I recently had to remove the foam blocks inside the hull of my PA14 when I did the steering upgrade. My wife threw them out thinking they were packing material. Any reason to replace them? Are they there to maintain hull shape or provide emergency flotation? Thanks, Craig |

You need them for structural integrity. |
