I took the PA 14 out on her maiden voyage yesterday in my local canal system. Hit the water with my buddy Steve at 7am. Weather was overcast and it looked like it was threatening rain. I came loaded for bear but the real reason was to put the new yak through its paces. Without going into great detail, let me tell you all that it was better than I ever hoped. It performed beyond my expectations. The only this I have to do this week is to tweek the rudder adjustment a bit and to modify my kayak cart to fit her but other than that it was great. I ever got to slime it with 3 bass (dinks) and 1 snakehead (14"). A few more trips with her and I'll pretty much know what I want to buy to rig her how I want to rig her. Now I'm looking forward to putting her in saltwater and fishing Biscayne Bay and the Indian River. P.S. I would attach a couple of pics I took but I cant figure out how. HELP!!! |
