Got to take a look at the PA 17t, along with all the bells and whistles, today and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. While this may not be the right boat for all, there are several innovations that will contribute to the overall improvement of the whole product line up. One item of note is the H-rail system with the octagonal bar which enables one to attach gear to a rail, without worrying about the mount rotating on the rail. It turns out this has been incorporated into the H-bar system that fits the PA 12 & 14 (they had one on display). This is a good sign for existing PA owners who may want to take advantage of the new H-rail and all it's benefits. One could only speculate that we will see that H-rail in other applications. The floor of the PA 17t also had an interesting change to how the Vantage seat is mounted; the front foot attachment is now flush with the deck. I'm looking forward to how these changes will affect the rest of the Hobie line up. |

[url]H-bar system that fits the PA 12 & 14[/url] The new H-Bar is "universal" and can fit a wide variety of boats from PA 17T down to Outback and Revo. |
