Rudi, I use the RAM Jr tubes (Zooka tubes to YakAttack) that are on a 6 inch post. They mount into a flush mount base that is mounted to the board by 4 bolts. If you look through some of my recent posts, there are some pictures. At work and do not have access to Photobucket, otherwise I would post some. Can edit this when I get home. Steve Just got home. Here's what mine look like. They do not get in the way when using the Mirage drive. ![]() |

Hi. I use the Scotty Power Lock rod holders. Have also used the Scotty Orca rod holders and liked them equally well. You can keep them on the standard bases, which use four machine screws to anchor them and they are only a few inches above the boards. Scotty offers a few different extensions that use the same bases and will raise the rod holder up and also bring the rod holder back toward you, if you prefer the rod closer to the seat. I use the six inch extension tilted back toward me just a little. If I have the rods facing directly outboard, I still have room to pedal without my knees hitting the rod handles. They're sturdy and I've never had a problem with them. |
