After doing a lot of reading and wanting to properly store the 14' PA, I decided to build the kayak cart I saw on here with a few diffrences.

I didn't want the cart as wide so I built it to 98"L X 38"W. for the height I used my truck bed loading height.

With the smaller width the sides of the PA will hit the wood. I used a block underneath the PVC to raise the kayak height. I also carpeted the rails to prevent scratching and slide easier.

I mounted the PVC to the cart by using strips of carpet as strapping material to let the PVC flex and adjust to the contour of the PA.

Added a few more supports and a shelf on the bottom with castors. Total project cost $75.00

Really like that, any chance you can post pics without the kayak?

Looks great. Do you think an Outback would fit underneath?

Revell, I build a similar cart and yes the outback did fit below. I currently only have an outback, so I down sized the cart.

If anyone goes to build one of these don't skimp on size on the casters. I used all four that swivel but only two lock in place. Off hand I think I used 4" casters, hard wheels. I did get these from the home center.

I did something similar but I used a picnic table I bought at Lowe's. Slapped some locking wheels on it and viola… double duty PA cart that is very close to being the same height as my tailgate.

Sure if you build it to different dimensions (width) it would! The revo fits, but I use the bottom shelf to store all the kayak gear...
