Forum - would love to get some feedback from those of you that have invested in the Micro Anchor. Benefits? Drawbacks? Glad you made the investment? Appreciate any insights. |

I've enjoyed using mine. I can concentrate on fishing without fumbling with a stakeout pole and anchor trolley. Double-tap of the remote and it deploys and I'm in-place and not skipping a beat while casting or fighting a fish. |

I use mine a lot especially in the river. Its the best "gadget" I have attached to my PA. Jim |

How do you guys attach to the kayak? Are you mounting bracket directly to the kayak or using the Hobie mounting kit? The Hobie mounting kit seems very simple but I do not care for the white color. This is next on my wish list. |

I'm still thinking if getting the power pole is worth it. Any pro/cons to post about getting one? Is there any use ones being sold? Any draw backs w/ using a fly rod and the back cast? |

It takes away a recommended method for getting back in the boat (as per the manual). It is more @%@%!! stuff too |

Had one on my PA12 and loved it for fishing the Indian River and other shallow waters here in South Florida. Now that the PA's gone, I need to get the YakAttack mount so I can install my Micro on the 2015 Outback in the garage. You can do as others have and paint the mount....I think it is a specific type of paint, as some may "melt" the plastic (do a search). FYI- if you don't use the Hobie Micro Anchor Mount it may void your warranty (per Matt Miller). viewtopic.php?f=78&t=51279 ![]() |

For the ridiculous price, I can think of lots of more useful gear to put on my PA. Let's see...GPS, rod holders, lights, troll motor, battery, bimini top, and still have a few bucks left for anything else I can dream up, like a few new rod and reels, maybe? My fishing partner has one with the 8' pole and at high tide his doesn't reach the bottom of the bay where our trout stack up in the winter. It works fine in the shallow marsh every one of the 6 times a year he gets to fish there. |

Sounds like maybe Barons friend may have one for sale? I still like and use mine a lot, it just works in about 6.5' according to the FF. Jim |
