Don't know why I have never noticed this before. Is it something to be concerned about? It's on my 2014 PA-14. Looks like it is suppose to be there. It appears to be the bottom of the sail mast.  I had some water in the hull and I tipped it up to drain the water. That's when I noticed it. Hope is is nothing to be concerned about. |

What you're looking at is a cap that we install into the brass inserts on the hull bottom for areas like Mast receivers and Mirage well reinforcements - it's there by design and normal. Thanks. |
