Why is it that I only see double trailer options for Australia and nothing in the USA ?I am looking to transport more than one kayak and I see that Hobie has a kit for installing more than one kayak on a trailer .Even with the option to put up Three . Is this going to be available in the US or is this only a Au. thing http://slhobie.com.au/images/transport/ ... railer.jpg

The internet is your friend if you use it.
Here are some of the Trailex trailers (Hobie specs/sells) that will carry more than one kayak......https://www.trailex.com/Canoe-Kayak.cfm
If you search the forum, you will find several trailer set ups that are inexpensive to do/modify by yourself.

Trailer manufactures have different build requirements in different countries. In the US we have two that allow double loading. Our's are side by side.

38652000 TRAILER HOBIE ALUM KAYAK SINGLE
38652001 TRAILER HOBIE ALUM KAYAK TI SINGLE
38652200 TRAILER HOBIE ALUM KAYAK DOUBLE
38652201 TRAILER ALUM KAYAK DOUBLE DOUBLE (Wide enough to load two Tandem Islands)
38652202 TRAILER ALUM KAYAK PA17

All are Trailex Aluminum Trailers shown in the catalog page 16: http://cdn.hobiecat.com/digital_assets/87367024-international-kayaking-parts-catalog-optimized.pdf

ever thought about just having a trailer made?

this is double wide for 2 PA14s, made to my specs and is now a 'stock item' at Float-on. i've helped them design a removable upper tier that will also carry a pair of Outbacks or other similar boats. so 4 kayaks in all.

This is a great looking trailer , but I am looking for a double decker due to space issues in storage. Anyone with other trailers please post you pictures and materials used . Thanks :)

Is the trailex double-double wide enough to handle two PA 14's?

Yakima kayak trailers are light-duty, but will hold 2 Hobies. Here's one set up with saddles for for a PA12 and an Outback
