I have discovered the absolutely terrible problem of where the heck do you carry a big fish???? I am talking fish that are in the 4-5' range and that only the little 40lbs fish. I carried a buddy's 47lbs yellow fin back in today mainly because i had the ice and fish bag on my yak already. That fish wasn't over 4' but my wahoo wouldn't fit in the fish bag we had but luckily that one was transported on the tarps of an AI. anyone know of a good way? i have heard of almost a bed laying across the back deck which i can't find any examples of but i am going to design myself unless there are better ideas put up here. The basics of what i am thinking is putting a simple square together out of PVC that can be taken apart and stored until needed but fairly easily put together with a net that goes across it to support a fish bag. basic idea but i really dont know how else to get them to shore without them riding in my lap. Any thoughts or examples welcomed and i did search the forum but really not sure what that would be called. I will do some designing and get some input. |

I am a freshwater only guy, but find that dragging several large salmon or lake trout around on a heavy stringer is not as hard as it sounds. The fish are wonderfully streamlined by nature, after all. Is doing something like that out in the salt basically trolling for sharks, ala The Old Man and the Sea? |

Bass Pro carrys the large zippered fish bags that we use in South Florida. Have had over 100#s of fish in it no problem. They measure 60"x20". Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2 |

this will be the primary  With the alternate position being behind the seat between my back and where the livewell sits. can sit perpendicular to the seat and be pretty secure. finishing up the fish bag i made for the alternate position that will hold the longer fish. |
