Hey Hobie! make a retro kit for the side rails so that we can take advantage of the H-rails on our 2013 2014 boats. I love to put a rod on the rails while trolling but they roll in the mounts. If there is the slightest pressure on the rod the round rail will spin. Come on all it will take is some custom cuts and new set of supports. |

Got my new H-Bar in last week. I must say say this thing is indeed AWESOME! I can mount my rod holders to it getting them off the side rails. It is very sturdy. It can be turned around backwards and used as a far forward spider rig rack or used as a canopy frame. This thing is good for many purposes. Well worth the money! This H-Rail stuff is just what the doctor ordered for kayaks. Even allows you to mount things on the outside of the boat. Still have lots of rigging to do.... |

That is a 2015 model. The H-Bar is available to purchase. "H-Rails" on the 2015 are not yet available as accessories. FYI... H-Rail clamp accessories work on the older round tube. |

Yak1907' love your setup. Could you please post a photo of the Torquedo stored up on the hull? Interested in seeing if it would interfere with bait well positioning. How are you liking the trolling motor? |

Just found some images of how it stores. Could the battery be positioned inside the hull? |

Not sure what you mean by "stored up on the hull" ? This one either tilts up and locks in place for storing while on water and not in use or it can easily be removed in a few seconds and put in the front storage or the tank well. The battery is pretty small as pictured and can be stored anywhere on the tank well and leaves more than enough room for the livewell XL or and of the others i have seen. It can also be mounted\placed inside the boat in the front storage or the rectangular hatch... Hope that answers your question. |

My first impression of the Torquedo is that when stored it would be pulled all the way back up onto the deck. I ended up finding some photos that showed its stored position, didn't realize it could be removed easily. Thanks for the come back. |

Yup, comes off very quick. Easiest way is to loosen the two hex bolts you see on the mounting tube (no backup needed) and it slides right off. I can have the motor, battery and controller off and in the storage in less than a couple minutes easily. The one you are thinking of is the evolve 2. Hobie has a rudder mount for it and it flips up on top on certain models (outback) i believe...doesnt work for the PA.... |
