Not using a trailer? I saw someone who made a nice cart with a pvc rack. I will see if i can find it

Here's how I did my garage storage initially. I ended up buying a second Pro Angler and made a simple base like the one from this old forum posting. I made this rack when I first purchased my 2012 PA. I now store both PAs on the dual jet ski trailer (PVC rails) and the wooden storage racks are no longer used.

I believe mine were about 11.5 to 12 inches apart. I put the PVC on the wood, set the PA on the PVC and then lined everything up. Then I held the "L" brackets up against the PVC and wood to mark the holes to drill. Not too difficult... :D

Here is mine. The dimensions are 7' long, 2' wide, and 3' tall ( to fit tailgate of my f250). I used full 10' sticks of 2" sch40 pvc for the rails and attached them with l brackets. I had to put the small sections of 2x4s on the cross rails because with out them the rails would sag and the boat would rest on the 2x4s of the frame. There is about 1/4" of clearance on the stern area of the boat from the cross section. The best way to do it is to build the cart, put the PVC on the get the PA onto it. Then you an measure and line everything up and fasten it down.

The cart is the bomb though it takes me like 25 seconds to get the boat in the back of truck now. With the heat we have been having down hear in Florida my garage is like 100+deg everyday and there is no deformation whatsoever. When I get back from fishing just slide it onto the cart and wash it down, the back in the the garage she goes.

Paulyd... that is a sweet rack (never envisioned writing that to another dude)! I have a 14' kayak now and I'm looking to buy a new 2015 PA14 later this year. I'd like to build a 3-bunk setup like you have this summer. Is that a 2015 PA in your middle compartment? Can you please provide the inside height of that space? I don't have the boat yet and I want to make sure I allow enough room. Eyeballing the pic I'd guess about 34"?

Snookmeister, thanks for the build idea. I picked up my PA14 on Friday and built my stand using your specs on Monday. It is very easy to load and unload from my F150. I am going to add some plywood below for additional storage. Here are a few pictures.

I just got finished with my storage cart. I kept my Manta Ray 14 on an unused SS kitchen utility table which I had bolted a 2x4 on each end and suspended a pair of 2" PVC just like you guys have been doing for years. When I got the PA14, I put it on the SS rack and the MR14 was relegated to the floor.

I don't have much space in my shed. So, I did a variation on a theme by leaving enough room to store the MR14 underneath the PA. You can make out the old cart in the background and you can probably tell how little space I have to deal with - much better now.

To anchor the pipes, I didn't curve my washers or use through-bolts, I just used #14 3.5" construction screws through a 1.25" washer and left .25" slack for shifting/flexing. Seemed to be the easiest way to me. The height of the top bunk matches the bed of my truck (same with the SS rack).
