We just purchased this cover that Matt posted. It is very nice and fits like a glove. Not difficult to put on. Very happy with it

Does the chair stay in place or does it have to be removed for it to fit properly?

The chair stays in place, we just folded the back forward.

It will work. All PA 14s are the same 13'8" length.

Does Lovig distribute here in the USA? I could not find a retailer.

It looks like the Lovig cover is cheaper. If I do my calculations right, about $150 US including shipping vs. $220 for Hobie retail. I will say, just looking at the pictures on the Lovig site, the covers are very similar, but the Hovie cover has thee additional snap together straps under the rear handle, as well as a cinch strap to tighten it down. I think from just looking at the photos that the Hobie would trailer better. My Hobie cover trailered fine the two outings I used it. Only plan on trailering with it on for long distance halls, or if I know the weather is going to be bad. The cover is pretty bulky and just one more thing to store, and unlike the Lovig, does not come with a storage bag, unless you count the plastic bag it sold in.

I still want find out the purpose of the Bungee on top of the Hobie cover. When I cinch it down, it actually seems to creat more of a pocket for water to pool or collect on the cover. I am sure there is a method to that bungee madness, I just have not figured it out. Mine did not come with any type of manual, just retail sleave that has some info on it, but nothing of detail.

I picked up a 14' jon boat cover from Academy for $45. Works like a charm!

Has room for a Livewell. Bungee is used when you don't have the well in the boat.

Archer - i really like that idea for transporting and quick covering. I am sure it is pretty small and compact, and goes on and off very easily. Might be a nice addition for short term storage/overnighting, versus the Hobie Cover's longer term near full kayak coverage.

Have any pictures and a model number?

Can the rudder and skeg be lowered to relieve tension off the lines with this cover installed?

Just bought and put on a jon boat cover from walmart. It actually fits really well and was on sale for 40$
