Hello, I am considering purchasing a Hobie 12 PA 2015, and the only option of storage at this time would be a Suspenz marine Grade 3 Boat Free-Standing Kayak Storage Rack that I have for my 2 hobie quests. This rack is plenty for the quests, and judging by the specs, the pro angler doesn't weight that much more than the quest (I think it was less than 30 lbs) I keep reading that the PA is a beast to handle, but watching videos of people unloading the boat in and out of trucks/the water, etc it doesn't seem like it would be that big of a difference. Any one see any problems I would have using the free standing rack to store the additional kayak? Thank you |

That rack and a PA is probably not going to work out so good. The kayak is wide, heavy and awkward to lift. Are you sure you have the numbers on weight right? |

No. I first looked where I ordered it to get the specs. I just looked at the hobie site, and they are different. I seems the weight difference will be much worse than I thought. Almost double. May just have to wait on the PA until I get a larger garage. You think even on the bottom "rung" on the freestanding rack I will have an issue. It is adjustable, so I can shift everything up for the quests. thx |

If 2 people do it and it fits it may work out OK. Hobie has recommended storage orientation and on the side is not one of them. The manual is online. There are people that build their own stands to hold multiple yaks in the regular flat position. Some enterprising people even have a pully system to put them on the ceiling. finny |
