I made the mistake of bringing a soft cooler on my recent trip. It is inevitable a fabric cooler will find a treble hook it really likes... Anyways, I am considering getting the 30qt Engle cooler. However, I am trying to figure out the best way to secure the cooler to the PA without taking up deck space. Curious what everyone else does out there? |

Curious what everyone else does out there? You know that Hobie makes a soft cooler that fits in the front storage area with the rod tubes. You would lose the big white bucket, but if you carry your other gear in a crate or some other enclosure behind your seat, then that would allow you cold storage definitely out of the way of hooks. ![]() |

I posted this quite a while ago. I have two PA-14's now and each has a similar bracket on the rear deck to hold rods and tools while keeping a cooler from sliding around. Easy to make from 1.25" PVC. viewtopic.php?f=78&t=46313 |
