Bought a Lowrance x-4 pro last year for hobie pro angler with fish finder kit 3. Worked fine twice then quit working. Sent back to Lowrance and they sent an elite 3. Still won't work. Battery shows full charge on tester. Cut wires and rewired. Still won't work. Any suggestions. |

No. Will transducer cause unit to not come on? |

A bad transducer connected to most fish finders can cause the unit not to come on or cause damage if there is a short in the transducer wiring. Most brands will let you power up the head unit without a transducer attached. They usually had a simulator mode when no transducer is attached. If you have a spare transducer that you can just plug in to test, that might be an avenue for you to try. |
